*September 30, 1971 in Wassertrüdingen.

Father: Lambert Adam Schneider. Archaeologist.

Mother: Ursula Schneider, née Abel.  Cultural scientist and expert for monument protection.

 

1971 – 1991 Grown up in Hamburg. Schools: Johanneum and Helene-Lange-Gymnasium in Hamburg. Graduation 1991.
1991 – 1998 Study of Energy and Chemical Engineering at Technical University Berlin.
1992 – 1993 Civil service with Aktion Sühnezeichen in the Netherlands in a social youth project.
1999 – 2000 Project engineer at Berlin Energy Agency.
2000 – 2009 Researcher at Öko-Institut in Berlin. Research on international climate policy and member of the German delegation at international climate negotiations.
2010 -2010 Team Leader at the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat in Bonn.
2012 – 2019 Associate at Stockholm Environment Institute. Member and Chair of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
PhD Universität Wageningen (NL) on environmental integrity of international carbon market mechanisms.
2019 – heute Research Coordinator for International Climate Policy at Öko-Institut.
